Kim Albright is an award winning Canadian-British, half Filipino director. Kim featured on the British Film Institute (BFI) Upshot Program, showcasing 'the most exciting emerging UK filmmaking talent.'
Her shorts have won awards and competed worldwide, including Encounters Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, British Independent Film Festival, Atlanta International Film Festival and most recently, she won the Best Director award at the Scinema International Film Festival, Australia.
She just secured Telefilm financing for her first feature film, With Love And A Major Organ, shooting in 2020. She is alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre Director’s Lab and whilst in residency, completed her sixth short, Me, Again soon to be on the festival circuit. The short has inspired a web series, currently in development. She has just been selected for the Canadian Academy Directors Program for Women 2019/20.
Kim also directs music videos and commercials for the likes of New Era, Mars and Skittles. Her Dr. Pepper ‘Chatroulette’ spot clocked up over 1 million hits on YouTube.
